                      Meet the Professionals Behind AGFH


                      AGFH consists of two licensed funeral directors with 40 years of collective  experience between them.  We are also privileged to have one of the top voice-over and production experts working with us.   Together we will provide your funeral home with professional-grade branding, public relations and marketing materials to help project your firm more effectively to your consumer base.

                      President - Don Carson

                      Is the third generation of Carson funeral directors and is a graduate of Maquoketa Community High School.  He is a lifelong resident of Maquoketa, Iowa, and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Minnesota.  He has been a licensed funeral director since 1994.  He is the founder of Udressit Company, and inventor of the Udressit Memorial envelope, which is currently used by funeral homes across the United States.  

                      Don is married to Lenke and has a daughter, Karysa L. "Ky" Carson.  He is very active in the community and is a member of the Maquoketa Masonic Helion Lodge #36 AF & AM, Maquoketa Kiwanis Club, Maquoketa Community High School Alumni Association and the Maquoketa Country Club.  He has co-chaired the Maquoketa Kiwanis Celebrity Golf Tournament and Auction since 1998.  He is a former member of the Maquoketa JAYCEES and the Maquoketa PALS Club.  He currently serves on the board of directors for the Hospice of Jackson County and the MCHSAA.  He has previously served on the board of directors for the Maquoketa Area Chamber of Commerce and the Maquoketa Kiwanis Club.  In his spare time he enjoys golfing, fishing, and spending time in northern Wisconsin.  He also loves computers and surfing the internet, sports - especially March Madness, and visiting and spending time with his family.


                      Vice-President of Creative Services- Bill Oxley

                      Bill is a media production expert who began his career at CBS Television in Los Angeles.  He has produced more than 2000 television and radio commercials for national and international companies including Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, NASA, NOAA, DEA, Tesoro Corporation, New Scientist, Lennox Industries, the SETI Institute and many others.  From his professional audio studio in the forest of nearby Cottage Grove, Oregon, Bill lends his voice to various media projects, and is the spokesperson and co-creator of One of America's Great Funeral Homes.  Bill graduated from UCLA with a B.A. in radio - television and he earned his M.A. in communication at California State University, San Diego.  He also earned the FCC First Class Radio Telephone license.  Bill served in the U.S. Navy as public affairs officer and nuclear weapons loading officer aboard the USS John F. Kennedy before being honorably discharged to attend graduate school.  He enjoys golf, astronomy, fishing and hiking.  Bill is a volunteer with the Cottage Grove Area Habitat for Humanity where the love of his life, Linda Mays, serves as executive director.




                      Vice President of Sales - Tom Frisch

                      Has been a licensed funeral director for over 24 years.  After graduating from Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1986, he served as a funeral director at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain, MI and the Skradski Funeral Home in Gladstone, MI.  In 1992, he moved to Cedar Rapids, IA to accept a position of Sales Representative for the Aurora Casket Company.  He became the Midwest Regional Manager for Aurora in 2007 and served in that role until he left the company in 2009.

                      Tom started his own funeral home practice management company, Got Funeral?, LLC,  in November of 2009.  You may learn more about the innovative solutions that Got Funeral? provides select, pro-active minded, funeral homes via www.gotfuneral.com.  

                      He and his wife, Michelle, currently reside in Hiawatha, IA and have three children - Olivia, Isaac and Isabel.  He is a member of the Iowa Funeral Directors Association, Manufacturers Agents National Association, and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.  He enjoys golfing, camping, boating, skiing, fishing, hunting, college and professional football, & most anything outdoors.
